As the ESG Pass test version matures, we made the following upgrades and also an operation shift disclosure.
Blocery has been operating a B2C agricultural e-commerce app called ‘Shopbly’ in past few years, however, due to current market situation, including the challenges faced by similar platforms like TMON and WeMakePrice, along with the dynamic change of our partners, the B2C market has been struggling significantly. As a result, we are facing operational crossroad and have decided to make a shift and close the current B2C section and Shopbly. Moving forward, With the Blocery team’s research and attempts in the ESG field, we have gradually discovered the development potential of B2B (business to business) in the ESG field. Therefore, we decided to shift the focus of ESG business to the B2B field.
Why choose the B2B field?
ESG is still a relatively new concept at present, and it is highly dependent on corporate social responsibility at the implementation level. Currently, the groups with demand for ESG data storage and tamper-proof records are mainly concentrated in large enterprises in various fields.
Blocery has been in the agricultural supply chain field in the past and has accumulated rich corporate resources in this field. Carrying out B-side business based on such resources will help the rapid promotion of ESG + Blokckchain.
How to develop in the B2B field?
Blocery will start from two aspects: product development and ecological partner cooperation.
1. Develop the blockchain system of the ESG Pass platform
An online test network has been launched and the Layer 2 main network is being developed (cooperating with the main network launch, Blocery will negotiate the cooperation of more enterprises in the agricultural supply chain field)
2. Develop Agri-hub for the engagement of agri-food supply chain actors and institutions
3. Build a B2B ecosystem for agricultural products based on Agri-hub data. Provide agricultural supply chain enterprises with necessary agricultural data and necessary agricultural product intermediary services
Based on the above plan, Blocery can use Agri-hub data to carry out data distribution business in the future. It is currently in the planning stage of platformization of related systems, including the introduction of an enterprise ESG assessment system, including the production system, agricultural product utilization, governance, social activities, and personnel system, Claim and other transaction data.
Since March of last year, Blocery has been steadily expanding the influence of wholesale producers and sellers. To support this, we have been building and supplying platforms designed to facilitate data collection and management. As Blocery platform continues to grow, we believe that the impact and utility of our ESG initiatives will increase significantly, driving positive change throughout the agricultural supply chain
What’s New Next
We will launch the ESG Pass on Base network mainnet. In addition, We are working on the ESG platform development and the test version is estimated to be launched in the next month. During the beta test of the ESG platform, improvements will be made to the platform and integrate the ESG pass in it soon.
